Box2D Canvas and JavaScript Experiments

A bit late to the party, but I recently learned that Jonas Wagner ported the awesome Box2d 2.0 engine by Erin Catto from ActionScript to JavaScript, you guys rock! Now it’s time for some fun! What you see below is a quick “hello world” while I pick up the Box2d API and Canvas. It’s pretty much a copy of this demo, but I’m just getting my feet wet. :S There is a dependency on jQuery currently, which I’m unsure the reasons for, so in the future I would like to learn more about the code. Who knows, maybe a jQuery-less fork is on my horizon?

I want to participate and learn more about game creation with JavaScript, so I plan to leave this space as a portal into my current development on the subject. Stay tuned! :)
