Installing Subclipse 1.2 and get the Buckminster Error?

This is something that had me stumped for a little while so I thought it might be helpful to those of you installing the Subclipse plug-in for versions of Eclipse. If you are trying to install the plug-in and you keep getting the error “Buckminster – Subversion support (Incubation) (0.1.0.v20070626) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.buckminster.core” Do the following because you already have the Buckminster files installed…

(Europa 3.3.0 in this case)

  • In the Update - Search Results window, check the box next to “Subclipse update for 1.2″
  • Expand that tree
  • Uncheck just the item that says “Integrations(optional)”
  • Click finish and proceed through the installation

Not difficult, but not very intuitive either. Hope this helps.
